For the past month, you’ve fought the flab on the elliptical and banished sweets so that you’ll look fabulous for Spring Break. Welcome, string bikini; hello, gawking male eyes.

Don’t let all that hard work go to waste. Keep that hot new body while on vacation — and still enjoy yourself and save some cash!

First things first. Don’t assume an “I’m on vacation, anything goes” attitude (we only mean this with regard to food, of course). Keep that will-power strong! Pack some healthy non-perishable snacks — anything from whole-wheat pretzels to protein bars. These will satisfy your hunger, and you will be less likely to devour junk food.

When eating out, steer clear of any menu items that are fried, creamy, buttery, breaded or saut&#8217ed. These tasty dishes contain tons of excess calories — and fat.

Also, share good-for-you entrees with a girlfriend. Plate-portions these days are enormous. Don’t allow yourself to even come close to finishing one alone.

Last but not least. Spring Break = alcohol. Of course, fruity cocktails complement the tropical atmosphere, but they contain lots of calories. So limit the pina colada intake and stick to clear drinks like vodka and club soda with a splash of fruit juice. Your calorie intake will be much less.

Following these tips will make it much easier to pick up your fitness regime once you’re back on campus.
