Want to be a smart, savvy and successful dieter? Here are five fabulous techniques to help you stay on track.

1) Begin with Breakfast

In the morning, your body has gone without food for at least eight hours. It’s hungry; don’t deprive it. Skipping breakfast starves your body and slows your metabolism. Speed that metabolism up by eating a morning meal and your body will continue to burn fat all day.

2) Stop Starving!

Cutting too many calories puts your body into starvation mode, causing your body to hold onto fat and calories. Don’t skip meals or cut too many calories!

3) Mini Meals = Mega Boost

Eating smaller meals more frequently gives your body a steady energy source, which increases your metabolism throughout the day. If you eat five or six small meals a day, your body will burn calories as you go.

4) Cardio

Cardio exercise raises your metabolism, big time. As long as your heart rate is up, you are getting calorie burning benefits that last all day.

5) More Muscle

Muscle burns more calories than fat. The more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism gets and the more calories you burn, even at rest! So get lifting, ladies!
