It seems that when you’re in a relationship, cute available guys are lurking around every corner. So why is it that when you’re actually single and looking, available men seem to have gone the way of the platypus?

Here are some tips for attracting men like freshmen to free beer:

1) Step out of your comfort zone. Stop going to the same lame stand-bys. If they were full of available, sexy singles, you wouldn’t be reading this, would you? Take a chance at something new, and don’t snub your nose at dive bars and Internet dating.

2) Be approachable. Be nice – not only to hot guys, but to other girls, goofy guys, servers, doormen. And don’t surround yourself with an armor of your 10 closest friends. Come with another couple, so he won’t feel like an intruder by approaching.

3) … But not TOO available. If you act like you’re out to have fun, you will, and your lame desperation won’t come shining through like a big red beacon. No one wants to feel like a last resort. So make him feel like he’s lucky to get a word in with such a cool, laid-back lady.
