The bonds between women are strong. In times of drunkenness, crisis and of course foolishness, your best friends will pick you up, comfort you or make you laugh.

Whether your professor’s a real bitch and you need to vent or your heart was just broken and you want a hug, they’re there to listen and stroke your hair. Having such an amazing emotional support system makes you feel home when you’re away from home.

Tampons, Bra Sizes and Pouffy Hair

You get one another because … you are a female (duh). Guys can sympathize but can never truly understand how retched menstrual cramps feel or what it’s like to be the “less-developed” girl in class. You have angst over body types and hair textures that you can never change, but your girlfriends will encourage you and suggest that fabulous new defrizz serum.

Girls’ Night IN

Some nights just don’t get any better, especially when sweats are the outfit of choice. Takeout, a bottle of wine, dessert and the whole series of Sex and the City are all you need to enjoy a low-key Friday night with the loves of your life. No interruptions. Just gossip, sweet conversation and blurred memories.
