The McDaddy of My Dreams

Ugh!  I don’t think anyone actually understands how much I love this man.  I mean I really, truly love him.  Never met him, don’t know much about him—outside of his character—but when his face pops up on the T.V. screen and he gives me that charming smile my heart quite literally melts in my chest.   

Patrick Dempsey, Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd on ABC’s hit show Grey’s Anatomy, is the image of perfection in a male companion.  And if you thought, before, that he was the best thing that’s never really happened to women, you must want to hunt him down and force him to make hot, passionate, McDreamy love to you now. 

On February 1, 2007, McDreamy turned McDaddy, for the second time, to adorable baby boys and fraternal twins, Darby and Sullivan.  Making their first public debut on the cover of People Magazine, I don’t know what’s cuter.  The two endearing twins sleeping ever-so-gently in daddy’s arms, or daddy himself? Already a father to his five-year-old daughter, Talula, Dempsey has the whole package.  A gorgeously adorable face, thick flowing hair that would be great for some rumple, tumble, pull and tear in the bedroom, and the voice and disposition of an angel—not to mention the whole “brain surgeon” thing.  

On top of all this, he now has three gorgeous children and it wouldn’t surprise me if he were up for a “Father of the Year Award.”  He’s freakin’ perfect!  The only thing wrong with him?  He’s happily married.  Damn you Mrs. McDreamy!  Damn you! But it’s okay ladies.  I’ve made my peace with it and so should you.  Especially now that there’s two baby boys about to grow up in his image, with his genes and hopefully his illustrious hair.  I figure when they’re 21 I’ll only be 42.  Not bad right?  Just call me McDemi.
