She did not deserve the things she had to face because of some jealous person (probably another contestant she competed with). Amy had to have a press conference to stop the blackmailer and gain support that she was not getting from the Miss NJ Organization. She is very embarrassed by all of this and wants to change her name because of it. SHE IS NOT A REAL WHORE OR AN ATTENTION WHORE.
