Kelly Clarkson: Fat or Fabulous?

kc1.jpgYou’ve heard me say it a thousand times. I love K. Clarkson because she seems like a normal human who’s really talented.

Because of my sisterly devotion to KC, I take issue with the newest Star Magazine cover, which features my girl as one of the “Stars Losing the Battle of the Bulge”.

Hmmm. When they say bulge, do they mean a stomach that isn’t sunken? Do they mean a ribcage that isn’t protruding through clothes? Do they mean a waist fitting into a size 8 dress?

Perezhilton featured the cover on his site, and his readers were uncharacteristically on Kelly’s side. It seems I’m not the only one who wants the press to chill out when it comes to the weight of celebrities. Maybe we really are starting to realize perfection doesn’t exist.

What do you think, lovelies?

Is KC packing the pounds, or is she just a normal girl who sometimes makes unfortunate fashion choices?

    I wasn’t into Idol when Kelly won, but I’ve watched her videos. I have noticed she has put on some weight and she hasn’t wore what I would consider appropriate for her body type. There is one video where her pants are low cut and she’s wearing I believe a vest and her gut is just hanging out like one of the boys. I attributed it to her rock star image, but I didn’t find it sexy, which I presumed she wanted to imply. Kelly has never been what I would call a normal body type, she’s always had a few extra pounds, which for me is good, like another Texas girl, Janis Joplin instead of being one of those skinny waifs on MTV. Kelly just needs to learn how dress in clothes that fit her.

    You are just fine Kelly. See this is why so many girls out there have eating disorders its because the media says you have to be skinny to promote anything…when will you people wake up and see by doing that you are the mane cause of anorexia and youth suicides. I have extra baggage as well and when I see Kelly she is way smaller then me and the way she handles herself is what makes her different then all the other anorexic singers and actresses. Get over it, Kelly is who she is don’t make her change because you don’t like the way she is looking. What as if you all aren’t fat?
