Luvs Promotes Kiddie Porn

I am not proud of it, but the other night I found myself unable to change the channel for an entire hour of The Singing Bee. I watched. I listened. I may have even gotten up and done a little singing myself. And, since I didn’t TiVo the show (I have standards…even if they are beyond low), I was forced to watch the commercials.

Which is when I witnessed this little ditty:

At first I thought there was something wrong with me; afterall, it is a baby playing with a bear. But then three things happened:

1. My friend IMed me and asked me if I found the commercial disturbing in any way

2. I realized the song playing in the background while the kid “wrestled” with his bear was, “All You Need is Love”

3. I realized that Michael Jackson owns the rights to that song and therefore had some connection to the making of this kiddie porn commercial.

This is naughty and I am not the only one who thinks so. In the days of “To Catch a Predator” and nationwide fear of child molestation, you would think those people over at Johnson and Johnson would sit back, watch this commercial and question its level of appropriateness.
