Yeah, I really think geeks do make better boyfriends. They don't waste their time on chatting a different chick up every week, neither are they very involved in the so-called "dating game". This combination makes the geek a very pure and honest boyfriend, who doesn't let dating customs get in the way of the way he feels.

Yes, we do! We buy you top-of-the-line gadgetry for gifts; are pretty indepedant because we keep ourselves busy with intellectual pursuits; think hanging out with you and doing things like watching TV, discussing superficial crap, or partying is so novel because we never do it; AND we are loyal, considerate, and great in bed because we've had our shape of long-term relationships. The best thing of all is that we are unfailingly logical and rational and never fly off the handle.

Coming from guys' side I'm kind of curious to know how it goes the other way though... I mean... do geeks make good girlfriends? The subject doesn't seem to come up much due to the ratio of male to female geeks, but I wanna know!

Totally true!LilOldEagle is sooooo on the mark. Imust say it again. I’m not a geek or a nerd. I’m an actress and model who’s dated other actors and models and they SUCK!! After being dumped by a male model I met on a shoot one day (he was bi-curious and dumped me for another male model), I’d decided enough was enough. I swallowed my pride and tried internet dating. After a couple months I found the sweetest, most loveable RPG, computer-savvy gamer “geek” with a lovely set of baby-blues.( He’s the kind of geek that always got the “just friends” line from girls, and usually got passed by… Those girls were STUPID!) And I’ve never been more in love in my entire life. He’s often told me he’s worried I might leave him for some handsome young costar, but he has no idea how wonderful he is in comparison to the typical egotistical pretty-boy trash I normally have to deal with. He tells me he feels so lucky to date someone like me, but I’M the lucky one!!

…And ooooooooh, what a lover…

Girls, take it from me, the geeks GOT IT GOIN ON!!

Well while I wouldn't necessarily call my bf a "geek," he is a smart-as-hell chemical engineering major who gets a little awkward in social situations. However, being good looking, he has been with a ridiculous amount of girls, which probably contributes to his wonderful qualities in the sack. The only downside to dating a guy like that is that they sometimes tend to be a little closed-off, and definitely always super busy with school.

Plus, they'll always be smarter than you... lol.

Good question, good topic.

But for truth, I get what you're saying about geeks having the time to learn in effort to apply. But it depends how well they're good at applying that in turn to text book to person! No stereotypical answer will fit. Some geeks geek out and can't do a thing (American Pie?) and some will luck out and make it (Weird Science anyone?)
