Online computer games.

By far, they are the best invention ever when it comes to LDRs. My BF and I play GW [we did play WoW for awhile but I hate monthly fees] quite a bit and it's a great way to have fun and catch up at the same time.

Webcams are also super awesome. On many levels. Sometimes it's nice just to see their face, even if it is slightly pixelated and small.
