I agree with what you are saying. I almost passed up the opportunity to Study Abroad on this amazing program (the CIMBA Italy Program, http://www.cimbaitaly.com) However, I decided to go for it and had the most amazing semester! I encourage everyone to study abroad if they have the opportunity. I know money can be an issue, but the program I went on gave financial aid awards and really worked with students through payment plans.

I do wish I had studied abroad but still can't think of a time that I would have wanted to miss from my four years. Luckily Salem offers Jan Term and I could have gone to Ireland had I not secured an awesome internship that I thought would lead to a job… Even though that internship helped me get tons of other experience I am sad I didn't do that!

EVERYONE should study abroad, it was the single best decision of my life thus far. I went to New Zealand, and yeah, I missed homecoming and football, but I gained so much that is immeasurable. It is THE BEST decision anyone can make.
