I've been in this situation only once. At the time, I was dating somebody else, so when I got the feeling the guy I'd been talking to that evening wanted to kiss me, I just said I was going to check in on my friends and left. Yeah. Don't really want to lead someone on, so I figured that'd be the best thing to do.

Depends, if you're just not ready to kiss him yet the cheek is good. If you like never want to kiss him, put your hand on his chest and push.

Go for the hug. Move your head to the side and hug them. That way, it clearly positions them in the friend zone, without making it obvious that you were even aware they were trying to kiss you.
