hautelookOk, I confess. I went to Macy’s on 34th street this weekend. I did a lot of shopping. I spent a lot of money. On myself.

The guilt set in and now this weekend is all about shopping for my family and friends.

Then I found hautelook.com. Sh*t.

Avert your eyes! This site is amazing but a total drain on your wallet (due to selection–not prices!). Just in case you’re willing to spend some cash on some discounted designer duds here’s the lowdown:

Hautelook.com is a member-only site where the user can sign up to receive discounts on major designer apparel–up to 75% off!

You gain access to sample sales days before everyone else. And if you know anything about real-life sample sales…this is a Godsend. No more elbows to the face, disgruntled bitches, and long lines! It’s a Christmas miracle!

Designers like Miguelina, Robert Rodriguez, and starting next week, Development by Erica Davies are available, so get your clicking finger ready.

And refer a friend…you both get $10 credit! Hey, it’s one present off the list, right?

    How does it work? I am a member but can’t seem to find the link where I can actually shop. Is all the shopping done on hautelook.com?

    yes the shopping is done there. you need to click on the brand when the sale is active (i.e. when you see the clock ticking) press go to sale and it will take you to the items (some brands wont be active as they are upcoming).

    They also have a great Sex in the City contest going on, did you see that?

    i loooove hautelook. ive ordered quite a few things from them and have yet to be disappointed. the selection is huge, the prices are greatly marked down, and the service is one of the best. i highly recommend it to anyone wanting to save some money on top quality clothes.

    Hautelook is a scam. I ordered a very expensive purse online, money was taken out of my account, i received a confirmation it was shipped, but they never shipped the item and claim it was ’short shipped’. i am still waiting for my refund from this joke of a company. don’t buy anything, you won’t receive it!!!!

    Upset customer – The very nature of sites like Hautelook is that they may run out of items. However, their customer service is VERY responsive and helpful. I’ve purchased many items there, they have handled returns for damaged items immediately (happened once) and they canceled an order my aunt made by mistake. They are not a scam at all, but they may run into issues with orders placed – although in all my orders, I’ve never had that problem.

    Im freaking out at this very moment. I bought a shirt from hautelook and its been 21 days, and still, nothing. They say that it takes between 10-14 days….Im not sure what to do

    Ah, I take back my last comment! I just checked my porch, and there was my package! My shirt is perfect, and they also sent a sample of lancom genifique! Im so excited.

    Customer service is HORRIBLE, they take forever to ship, when one item has been over-sold they won’t even let you know, and when you call to inquire about it, they act like you’re bothering them. I ordered 4 items, after 1 month only received 1 item with an inactive tracking number that never worked. was told 1 item was over sold so i wouldn’t be receiving it and that i should wait some more for the other 2. it’s been 2 months since I ordered so I called again, only for them to tell me that i’ll be getting a refund on those other 2. Thanks for telling me earlier!! WOW… worst site ever.

    I bought two Technomarine watches from them and what I got was fake – screaming fake. I have a real Technomarine watch so it wasn’t hard for me to compare it with the fake ones side by side. I hope they issue me a refund.

    I love this site! I’ve only ordered one thing that was short-shipped & they e-mailed me to tell me & issued me my refund plus double the price in credit! Also, I have never received anything that appeared to be fake. The only problem with a site like this is that it becomes very addicting very fast – shopaholics like myself have to be careful!

    oh lord Hautelook has got to be the worst of these sample sites. even though they do have some good sales.
    I have had two occasions whereby their customer service was less than satisfactory. They frequently put the wrong sizing information on their products and then change it later on in the day when the item is sold out. I have spoken to a couple of people who have had terrible experiences with them Gilt and Gilt fuse are by far my favorite sites. Fast shipping too
    Beware of Hautelook!
