I'm getting ready to meet my online male friend after we've been penpals for about 4 months! I was the one who finally said that we should meet. Granted, he lives in CO and I in CA, but I feel a little funny about being the one to say that we should meet. Now I'm very nervous about the first date. He doesn't seem to be nervous at all, so I don't want to appear to be jittery when we meet. I think I'm nervous because I already think I'm falling in love with him, but how can that possibly be if we've never met before? I am feeling like a giddy girl and in some ways that is kinda fun but when youre menopausal it's a little frightening. I think the other aspect of the fear is that if things don't work out the way we hope, we lose out on the wonderful flirty friendship I've enjoyed for the past months. Thanks for listening and I'd enjoy any comments.

I found my current boyfriend online, and I was scared shitless for the first date.

But it ended up being the best first date ever. Hours spent talking on the beach, and amazing connection, just to lead to more amazing dates. I have had bad experiences as well. But hey, its life.
