We are the idiots how buy their products. Our county is so obsessed with celebrities its an embarassment. How many girls bought Paris's book when that was published? PLEASE!!! How many gossip magazines are published? TV shows…ET, TMZ,Inside Edition and forget about the websites. I think college kids would rather read an article about Paris Hilton than read about current events in "Paris", France or Cuba, Africa… You get my point.

You got a point there. And most of these so called new entrepreneurs don't even put the work in thoses perfumes and clothing lines ( they just come up with a name and put the money in,letting people to manage it- i'm sure many of them can't even tell the difference between their perfume and another one…)

But, as you said, a few managed to excell in different domains : Will Smith (Actor-Rapper?), P.Diddy (music producer, rapper-clothing line-), Barbara Streisand (sing- act) and yeah madonna (sing-act-model ?)

you mentionned vanessa minillo and jessica simpson as exemples of "dumb greed" but lets not forget Paris Hilton ( why sing ? and not to mention acting ?? i mean, I still don't know what her talent his…), and all the rappers that get those roles into major movies– I mean why not give the chance to all the talented struggling actors and film graduates in the industry ??
