I think that the Jonas brothers could influence a girl/boy's decision to stay a virgin because its just a voice (and a popular one) saying hey not EVERYONE has sex before marriage, though society gives off the impression it does. So I think it helps young people stay confident in their decision for chastity if that's what they've chosen. If they haven't, i dont think they care haha.

I for one support safe sex if you feel ready. It's about emotional stability and the trust you have in your partner.

And while I understand the motives behind chastity, I don't think it's a plausible route for many people at this day in age.

But in case of the Jonas Brothers, I wouldn't expect anything less than virginity. First and foremost, they are endorsed by Disney, one of the prime selling-to-kids companies, who I think might bust a lid if one of their teen/tween stars was found to be sexually active. This is not to say that the Brothers are lying. In all truth, they're probably telling the truth. I just think they're not the best example of stars who would be penalized for promoting chastity. In fact I should say they would become more beloved for promoting the pure message.

But in the end I think it is immediate influences that change kids the most. Sure, the Jonas Brothers are awesome to the 12 year-old now, but what about when they turn 18? 20? Things change fast, and celebs aren't the prime influence in many of these decisions.
