And underclassmen tend to look out for the seniors in February/March because they're all working really hard on their theses. They're required to graduate. I guess this program was seeking to tighten the bonds between underclassmen and upperclassmen in Whitman- and obviously, trusts the seniors not to be too demanding, and the freshman not to tolerate abuses.
