The Most Boring Spinoff Ever (Brought To You By Fox)

clevelandHey! Hey Fox Network! I’ve got an idea! Why don’t you take the most boring, tiny, one-note side character from Family Guy and make it into a spinoff?

Awesome. You guys are totally awesome.

Just kidding, Fox Network. You totally suck.

Shit like this, taking Cleveland (of all characters) from Family Guy and giving him his own show, really pisses me off.

Where is the creativity, Fox Network?! Is this what I’m paying $45 a month in cable TV for?!

I hate Fox. I do. I hate Fox and here is why:

(1) Their news is retardedly biased and annoying and their newscasters are wooden and remind me of an old high school boyfriend who could not for the life of him figure out how to unhook a bra.

(2) They continue to let The Simpsons wallow in its own decay. Look, The Simpsons was like the most brilliant show of all time–until it started to very much suck a few years ago. And yet Fox continues to let it sink further and further into geeky mediocrity. I mean, cancel that shit already. It’s embarassing.

(3) American Dad.

(4) American Idol.

(5) Okay, forget listing crappy shows. What I REALLY hate about Fox is their total lack of creativity when it comes to programming. I mean, seriously. A Cleveland spinoff? It’s like taking Laguna Beach and giving a spinoff to the ocean.

It’s like how Dick Cheney is the next in command…we’re all vaguely aware of his existance as a side character in the administration, but if he ever became president, we’d all change the channel faster than you can say “Guantanamo.”

I’d rather watch the ocean than Laguna Beach. Any day.

I have never seen the show your talking about. I am an American living in China. So I can not comment about that. I can however comment about Fox News. Every study done on media and bias has shown that Fox news is the most unbiased news cast. The problem is your so far to the left you believe you are mainstream. You are not. Thats why they call it Left and Right. Those on the Right think Fox is too far Left and those on the Left think Fox is too far right. The studies show that Fox is right in the middle. Even Hillary Clinton claimed that Fox news has treated her more fairly then CNN or MSNBC.

Just a friendly reminder not to judge the world by your circle of friends. It is never how the world really is.

Totally agree with White Devil. Just because the news media gives attention to the perspectives of the other side does not make it biased. And also, why are you listing American Idol as a bad thing about Fox? You may not like the show, but it is a ratings juggernaut.

Don’t worry, Fox is one of the free channels in the US. I’m pretty sure it’s not one of the fancy cable channels that you need to pay for.

At any rate, Simpsons has anything but declined – the last few episodes have been outstanding. Family Guy has a devoted following and they are tapping into that. Obviously its a wise investment, even if the show fails. It’s probably cheap to produce because it’s a cartoon and they know a large audience will watch it regardless. A shame, yes, but just don’t watch it. I personally think Family Guy is so poorly done that I am about ready to give up on it myself. (And Fox News? That’s part of the fun. Biases are interesting – embrace them. You’re a journalist.)

lmao. anyone who says fox news is unbiased has their head in the sand. you really have no idea what you’re talking about.

And its not necessarily the problem that they are biased, only that they parade around calling themselves ‘fair and balanced’ when they are so clearly right wing. its called fraud.

Outfoxed is a good documentary on the Fox news network, for anyone interested.

Actually, fox news is a channel that you have to pay for. There’s only one free channel, and it’s believes it’s nbc (or whatever the today show is on).

And fox news is totally bias.

News stations are going to swing to a certain side. Fox is known to have conservative sympathies. CNN is liberal. I watch them both, along with other stations. It’s a good way to get both sides of the story and different perspectives.

And something that irks me… Why do so many people whine about how Fox is conservative and right wing, when CNN and its ilk are so clearly leftist? Why is bias only a bad thing when it goes against what one personally believes? Just goes back to the old saying about how the most opinionated people are the least open-minded. And that goes for both the right and left.

No, there are numerous free channels in the US, Fox included. (Fox News, of course, isn’t) Stations affiliated with NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, MyNetwork TV, and a handful of others are broadcast over public airwaves and can be picked up with a simple antenna.
