I'm often so ashamed to be reading those kinds of books that I only read them at home, so it ends of taking me longer to read Devil Wears Prada than it does to read Hemingway. And I draw the line at bad writing. I have no scruples with formulaic writing or terribly shallow themes, as long as the writing is witty and it flows.

I like to read one between every heavier book I read. And I am not ashamed (like when I used to take off the covers of my Harry Potter books in the subway).

I like chick lit, simply because sometimes it's so ridiculous that I can't help but be amused. Although there are a few exceptions to the rule.
