I really need to buy more oddy-sized paperbacks, so the dust covers fit my chick-lit better. I'm often so ashamed to be reading those kinds of books that I only read them at home, so it ends of taking me longer to read Devil Wears Prada than it does to read Hemingway. And I draw the line at bad writing. I have no scruples with formulaic writing or terribly shallow themes, as long as the writing is witty and it flows.

Chick Lit books are great because they are quick and entertaining. I like to read one between every heavier book I read. And I am not ashamed (like when I used to take off the covers of my Harry Potter books in the subway).

I love Confessions of a Shopaholic. They are absolutely hilarious.

I like chick lit, simply because sometimes it's so ridiculous that I can't help but be amused. Although there are a few exceptions to the rule.
