Teen Millionaires: They’re Everywhere

So you think all high schoolers are loitering, noisy brats who talk too loud in the movie theater? Think again. Some students out there have better ways to spend their time. You know, like, working toward earning ONE MILLION dollars before they even turn 20.

Meet Cameron, Catherine & Dave, Ashley, Adam, and Fraser. One thing they all have in common is an ability to make a crapload of money on the internet. These kids all made over a million dollars before they were 20 years old.

Check out what they did:

Cameron was only 15 years old when he started getting checks between $300,000-$400,000 a month. When he was just 19 years old, he sold one of his websites for a “six figure” check — the exact amount remains unknown. He’s owned multiple websites…from a greeting card site to certificateswap.com. I guarantee you that his parents are proud.

Catherine & Dave started a website together at just 15 and 17 years old. They developed a free version of their yearbook online and called it, of course, MyYearbook. The site was only around for a year when they had raised 4.1 million dollars. How? Well, advertisers like ABC, Disney, and Neutrogena is how!

Ashley started Whateverlife.com. The site is for graphics, Myspace layouts, etc. She was offered 1.5 million dollars for it two years ago — but she turned it down and she’s still building it.

Adam is already worth 3.7 million dollars. How? Well, he started a social networking site and founded a software business.

Fraser just happens to like jam. He used his grandmother’s recipes to start making jam in his own kitchen in Scotland. He promoted his company of fruit spreads online and now he is worth almost 2 million dollars.

If I were 15 years old today, I can say affirmatively that I would screw volleyball practice and go home after school to make some bank online.

you can see Cameron on Oprah’s big give, the new reality TV series. He’s doing really well–he has already made it to the final 3. The show is great and really inspires you to give back to the community.
