Just Because You’re Blind Doesn’t Mean You Can’t Enjoy Porn

You know when you hear about something and all you can think is, “WHAT???” Yup. That’s all I could think when I heard about Porn for the Blind. I’ll give you a moment to let that sink in. Yes, Porn for the Blind.

The website is a non-profit organization that has volunteers contribute audio descriptions of sample movie clips from adult video sites. The thing is, though, these audio recordings are incredibly un-sexy. It’s not like some woman with a breathy voice is describing the porn scenes and moaning into the microphone. Generally, it’s a nerdy sounding guy describing the porn very matter-of-factly. “There is a bra draped over the chair.” “The man begins to vaginally penetrate the woman.”

Sexy? I’ll let you come to your own conclusions.

You can contribute to the website, too, if you want. There are lots of clips that have already been recorded and there are currently five “user requests” for specific porn websites. Porn for the Blind gives you a script so you know what to say, and tells you to use, “only proper anatomical language (male, female, penis, vagina, breasts, etc.)” What fun is that?

The folks over at Boinkology want to know, “how do you [the blind person] know where to click play in the first place?” And I think that is a very valid question.

But seriously, if you’ve always wanted to help the blind, here is your chance. It’s so easy to record a clip at Porn for the Blind, it would almost be rude not to. But please, please, try to use a somewhat sexy voice when you record your clip.

Porn should be fun, right?
