I live in the area where this has happened but am not from here. It’s not really big news since it broke.

For the record on here, I hardly think that a teacher tossing head at high and middle schoolers is worthy of the sexual predator stuff thrown about. I know if Ms. Armstrong, my 10th grade English teacher back in La would have wanted me to tutor me in the finer points of naked Shakespearing her, I would gladly have tossed aside the mushy “should I or shouldn’t I” girlfriends for the “lemmee show you how it’s done” prowess of an older woman. With the exception of that wackjob Letourneau back in the day, none of them seem to get knocked up like many do in HS and I’m betting the victims in the cases rarely need therapy afterward.

If a female teacher had sex with me when I was in middle school, I would have thought that it was the best thing that happened to me. Most of my friends in middle school would have loved to have had sex with a teacher.

kari, that was my point. if you talked to those kids, i bet none of them (assuming they are all boys) would find what happened to them traumatic or harmful. of course if their mom was watching over their shoulder they would say it was, but they would be lying.

note i am making a big distinction between boys and girls here. i was never a young girl, and most women feel very strongly that this would be a horrible thing to happen to a young girl, so i agree with them absolutely. boys are entirely different. i was once a young boy and i can assure you that no harm was done (unless the woman actually tried to hurt them, obviously, which is a different story all together). i know this is shocking to you. talk to a male friend of yours who is not trying to impress you and ask him to tell you honestly how he feels about it. if he is honest, he will feel exactly like i do.

I wish there had been more teachers like her when I was in middle school. Sure, she is not particularly attractive (it’s a mug shot, she may be a tad prettier than that), she is certainly gorgeous compared to your own hand, which is what most middle schoolers get.

Of course, she will probably go to jail for her good deeds, despite the FACT that NOBODY was harmed. Our society is so stupid.
