I blocked one of my friends from sending me application requests because I couldn’t take 3 requests a day from him anymore. Should I update my facebook that I’m writing on your blog and eating lunch at the same time?

was this article written in 2001? You can bisect your page so all applications are hidden unless the user hits a toggle switch to reveal them.

There is an app that lets you spoof ‘required’ friend invites (which are against TOS anyway and most apps like that have been told to change or go to hell)

You can kill all application requests globally.

You can set your preferences on the feeds. If douchebag updates 30 times a day put them on the ’show me less of’ list and turn down the activity list of the thing they do the most.

I dunno, I don’t totally disagree with all you wrote, but 75% of it is completely avoidable if you look for 2 seconds.

Funny article, so true about the mini-feed and all those stupid application invites. Even the news feed is a bit creepy to me at times…
