Alanis and Ryan broke up because she didn't want to get married yet and he did, they were engaged a long time because of it, Ryan put an ultimatum and Alanis didn't agree, so he went away. She wanted to be with him but something was keeping her away of tiding the knot with Ryan.
After that Ryan and Scarlett got married really quick, because he was looking for a wife, but we all know how that ended up.

I agree with her with the 'you can't never be friends with your EX'… it doesn't mean you had a bad breakup it just means you just can't call a friend to a person you spend years with and share many things.

I think her calmness is really just a cover. It seems that she's holding back, trying not to say too much on television – trying not to speak negatively about "that guy".

she does seem a little too calm after a break up like that but lets remember she went to therapy FIVE days a week. maybe that should be a requirement for everyone after a break up because she seems pretty healthy…mentally
