CC’s New Expert Series – Who Do You Want?

expert.jpgBetween morning bagel runs and afternoon Margaritas, the CollegeCandy staff like to spend a little time brainstorming new ideas. You know; things that our readers might benefit from. While we consider ourselves pretty damn smart (thankyouverymuch), we have recently realized that we may not know it all.

It was a difficult realization to come by, to say the least.

That is why we are going to bring in the experts as guest bloggers. People who really do know what they are talking about when it comes to things like getting into your dream university, finding that must-have internship and eating healthy (because Lauren seems to think that pancakes are the key to internal health).

We have a few lined up already, but we want to know who you want to hear from and what you want to know about. Let us know in the comments section below and we will work our magic on getting them onto the site.

Keep in mind that we can’t get George Bush (not that we think he is an expert on much), so let’s not get greedy.

Calling yourselves smart is a slap in the face for actual intelligent people.

How about some one from the Food Network who can give some pointers on cooking with an electric tea kettle, a microwave, and a George Forman grill? Something that doesn’t involved ketchup or Ramen…

Maybe you could also try to get some sweet drink recipes from Deborah (Barmaid Blog [http://barmaidblog.livejournal.com/]) that use ingredients that are somewhat common amongst us poor (read: cheap) twentysomethings. Maybe even something about how to stock a dorm room bar with 5 bottles or less?

Also if there are some Watson Fellows with cool projects it would be neat to hear about what they’re doing. How sweet would it be to live vicariously through someone who has $25,000 and a year to explore multiple countries they’ve never been to before? My mom always told me I was smart. Maybe I should give you her email address to discuss with her.

I’m infatuated with all the people who take the time out of their day to make hateful/stupid/irrelevant comments. Love you all!!

As far as the expert series, I’d like to hear from some type of financial advisor to discuss good ways and save and invest money.

I think it would be good to hear from someone about eating healthy in college. Tips for that nasty dorm food would be nice.

I would like to know more about safe cosmetics, body/hair products and sunblocks. There are so many chemicals in the products we use so which ones are the bad chemicals and which are safe?

I would absolutely *kill* for some decorating tips– I mean, I’m doing okay as far as the big furniture, but not everybody’s that savvy. And even I, artistic and given to paint-sloshing, am a little baffled at the bare walls in my house.

Uhmmm… maybe you can feature a few young women that are still virgins (if there are any left?) and their opinions on relationships and things like that. Also, internships and saving up for graduate school.

I love when current events are discussed on this blog, maybe because I know I should be at NYtimes.com but I…just…can’t…get away from CC. LOL.

I don’t know what kind of expert you could get on that. Maybe someone with updates and facts about the war, the current recession that no one wants to talk about, and why gas prices really are so high.
