Also try Welfare Brat…its a semi fictional book thats based on the authors life and talks about what it's like to grow up on welfare. It's sad but surprisingly uplifting.

While I probably will read Madonna's brother's book, I've been hearing it's not so great. Right now I'm racing through this Madonna bio, Like an Icon, by Lucy O'Brien, which is fascinating and highly recommended to any Madonna fan.
