Maybe it’s the fast paced lifestyle, the plethora of clubs and alcohol and tweenage freedom to roam the streets…maybe the weather? I’ve lived there for 18 years and went to school at a prestigious university…and that didn’t change a thing. The real toxicity was met when i joined a sorority- after that i declared that you have to be your own best friend and never to throw yourself into a frielationshp. it’s a cold city. literally.
