Lol, I still have my Samsung something, something, clamshell, I800? I like it, and what I like even more is the fact that it has the 9 key non-retarded wanna-be qwerty keyboard of the blackberry that I have (it's 1/2 work phones.)

The other work phone is a Motorola Q9 with an actual qwerty phone. I still like my personal cell, and while I could update it (either by signing a new contract (dealing with the devil)) or cash I don't see the need.

1. It works

2. It does what it is designed to do to my satisfaction (communicate via voice and text over cell towers).

Though I do want to complain about the Blackberry, the wannabe-qwerty kb is annoying, and feels cramped (Pearl 8130) and while it's light, and some how feels well-constructed at the same time it doesn't have the quiet confidence of my personal cell.

My personal cell has also served me faithfully for the last half a decade +, and while it is starting to show its age it hasn't given up the ghost yet.

Besides, with the economy the way it is, who can afford ostentatious consumerism?

i have a pink blackberry curve, ive had 3 blackberries, i love them, for txting when im drunk or using gps, blogging, reading college candy, shopping online and organising my spa appointments and parties to go to and what outfits im wearing. get a blackberry.

Yeah, I've had a Blackberry Curve for awhile now and I also love. Not so much for the communication features it has (BBM is pretty cool, though…) but more for the organizational features. I put all my homework, my class schedule, and any meeting dates and times in my Blackberry. It is INCREDIBLY useful, ad I really hate carrying around a lot of stuff and not having to carry a planner around to every class anymore is really nice. Plus, I can add little alarms to different items on my to-do list remind me to do things (like set an alarm to remind me to meet someone somewhere, remind me to stop in the financial aid office, etc.) I agree, though, it definitely isn't for everyone. I love it, though

they dont call it a Crackberry for no reason. i have a blackberry curve and i feel so rude sometimes when im bbming at a bar or something around my friends but its like being on aim! i feel rude if i dont write back to my friends bbming me. and the email sent straight to my phone is awesome. the camera on this phone is better than most digital cameras. and in my state of drunken debauchary i have dropped my phone well over 20 times.. its a durable little mother.

I have a Blackberry Curve and I absolutely LOVE this phone!! I got it as a refurb so I lucked out and wasn't forced to buy unlimited internet or anything. Many of the things on my phone that make it cool (GPS, internet, email sent straight to phone, etc) isn't used because I don't feel like paying the money for those services. Sure I may not need a Curve, but it's so nice to have a QWERTY keypad!! I don't think I can ever go back to texting on a traditional cell again!

PS:: Totally agree that kids shouldn't have a phone this high tech. Whatever happened to that firefly phone for kids?
