Don't freak, u get all the food u want(which could be bad for you fatties) and you have a shitter and a shower.

make sure u have some soap, a towel/washcloth, some clean sheets, some clothes, a pencil/pen and a couple notebooks.

everything else you can wing, but i'd make sure not to forget any of those;)

I'm leaving in a few weeks. My head is literally spinning thinking about all the things I should bring to school, and thinking about how much (non-existent)money I have to spend to buy things for my dorm.

Right now I am just googling different lists on what to pack for Freshman year and then making my list of stuff to get and separating them in "Need Now", "Want" and "I Can Get Later". BTW Thank you Michelle for your list…I'll add it to my other lists for reference.

If you're traveling long-distance, Bed Bath & Beyond offers the pack and hold option that lets you pick what you want to buy at the local store and pick it up at the BB&B near your college. that way you arent fighting the crowds and you arent obligated to purchase what you picked out.

Organize your stuff right away, don’t just toss it all in a drawer and whatnot. Have spots for your notebooks, your folders, and anything for specific classes.

And keep in mind that you WILL acquire a ton of stuff while you’re in college. I typically leave with way more stuff than I started out with. Annoying but it’s life.

Also, getting a whiteboard calendar will save your life. Put it up next to your door so you look at it everytime you leave. Trust me, those things are a huge help in managing your time and keeping on top of things.

And don’t forget a white board to put on the outside of your door!

If you are freaking out about starting school, you should keep comin' back! We have tons of back to school tips comin' in the next few weeks. Oh, and don't freak out – college will be the best time of your life.
