I have to say, I rather enjoyed the roast. I didn't find it that hard to watch, and in fact I loved Norm's bit. I knew the moment that the Saturday Night Live guy came out with a fistful of flash cards it was either a very, very new bit, or he was going to do something goofy. And goofy it was, with a sweet, endearing backwards comedy that totally mocked everything that was Saget's early career.

If you seriously found Lovitz's routine funny and thought that Norm "bombed," you have the comic mentality of a 12 year old and have very little grasp on what we call "subversive comedy."

Norm's routine was the best of the night, by far. Since you'll never understand why, though, let me go get some more gay jokes for you, and be sure not to miss the Larry the Cable Guy special coming on next week. Idiot.

Norm pulled an Andy Kaufman. He came out, pulled out something completely unexpected, walked off and left everyone talking. Good for him.

Giraldo is a well known stand-up comedian who has been on TV since like 95. He's (unfortunately) a roast regular. He's had numerous specials and has made appearances on basically every Comedy Central Show ever.

The roasts are terrible. I never understood televising them. They used to be a way to rib people with inside jokes, which is fine but not really funny unless you know the guy.

Now they are these giant debacles that almost always feel an hour too long and end with awkward retorts from the roastees.

Seriously, blogster, would at least kill you to criticize us with proper grammar, capitalization, and punctuation? We try for you. You could at least try for us.

I think I would have watched this if I were being paid for my time. $15 an hour. Tip for not falling asleep.
