Yeah I am pretty much a textaholic… I think at one point I had sent around 9000 texts. I have a keyboard phone as well but I find it entirely annoying! I texted so much faster with my old slider phone.

I too am a grammar nazi… So glad I have a phone with a full keyboard now!

Needless to say, I’m not a major ‘texter’, but I’m enjoying it.

But it does make actually USING the phone a bit weird!

I am a textaholic. I have full on conversations through text messages mainly when I’m in class though. I love texting especially since my best friends and I are in different time zones. We keep our friendship alive through text message. When you’re apart you miss those little random comments you say to each other so whenever I have a random thought I text it to my friends.

I do get annoyed though if my friend is texting while we are hanging out. If I do it I always tell the person I am hanging out with what the text message is about so they feel included (unless its something private then im vague about it) but I think it’s rude if you’re texting away when your hanging out with someone else.

I agree with Lauren. I can’t have a conversation through texting. When it starts to go back and forth, then I actually make the call. I can’t get carpal tunnel syndrome at the tender age of 17.

I always feel like people are talking about me when they text too much in the same room as me . . . Paranoid I guess, but it can be annoying.

Gotta admit, I love texting. I HATE it, though, when I’m hanging out with someone and they continue to text the whole time. Obviously I don’t care if you text a few times, I do it too, but please don’t carry on a whole conversation with someone via text while I’m just sitting there feeling awkward. What’s the point of hanging out if mentally you aren’t even “there”?

why not just send a message that says everything you want to say sans small talk and bullshitting? it’s perfect and i’m a txtaholic as well. haha ps i love your ‘radiation’ concerns, you’re so right! cheers!
