Skip the coffee AND the energy drinks. If you're addicted to caffeine, buy the alertness tablets at your local drugstore.

yeah the last one is so true, ive been dying my hair at home for years. i got it done once or twice a long time ago, and i watched them to see what they did (my hair is like almost black and i bleach it before dying it the color i want), and then i was able to get it pretty good myself.

as far as the drink for free thing, i think everyone should invest in an espresso machine. not the really expensive kinds, i mean the little ones you can get for like 40 dollars. just make sure to release the steam before opening it (and yes, i learned this the hard way).

as far as gas though, living in new jersey, i dont think its possible to conserve on gas. the pedestrians are always getting killed around here, cause theres no safe places to bike. theres only a handful of towns where i imagine you can do it, but of course in the places without traffic, its mostly houses in crap. i need to stay in my car for my life.

i also got cool things to take care of the food situation though. even though its a little unhealthy, playing with a 20 dollar deep fryer in the company of friends is a blast, and it saves your wallet when you dont go out to eat.

great tips! However, gas is always a problem for me. I live in Florida (so it's almost always hot!) and work about 20 miles (35 minutes) from my home so walking or riding a bike are out of the question. And I'm the only person with my schedule that works there, so no carpooling. :( I hate spaced out big cities!
