another up side to SUNY new paltz, it's free to wash and dry your clothes lol.

I completely agree with the rain boots thing. After three years of college, and having to walk to every class,I thought i could get away with not having to get rain boots because I just hate the way the look, but having dry feet is worth it

Jeffrey Campbell – Women's Vee Ankle Rain Boots

These rain boots are adorable, and not that expensive. They come in black, yellow, purple, and multi-colored. I have a pair in black and they save my ass when it's raining. Whether I'm at home in New jersey or at school at WVU, they are a life saver and everyone loves them! I get so many compliments!

every year i say i'm going to get rain boots and every year i don't get them (and i regret it later) but this year i AM going to buy rain boots. marshall's has some cute ones for like $17-20 right now!

as for quarters – completely useless at my school. they don't let us use quarters to wash/dry anymore because students were flicking pennies into the coin slots to pay for laundry (man i loved that trick…) so if your school is the same way, make sure you stock up on campus cash. it usually gets put onto an account and you swipe your ID to use it.

things like tuna and speggetios are cheap but tend to be hard to open with out one of these

Amber, I can top the brick walkways. Our steps were entirely marble. Once marble gets wet, it's worse than a slip-n-slide.

You can usually find collapsible, cheap, clothes racks just about everywhere that you can slide under your bed when not in use. Very nice.

And the quarters were the single most important thing to have freshman year. nice choice.
