"You don’t truly realize the invisible lines that are drawn in society until college. You don’t have your own beliefs questioned so much as you do in college. You don’t have to push your own mental and physical limits so much as you do in college. And you (hopefully) never have to live in such close proximity with others your whole life, outside of college."

Except in the military. Think about it, college boy.

Amen to the Absence of Absolute Truth...

Man I can't even begin to tell you how many die-hard Christian kids come into our University thinking its their unimpeded chance to convert everyone to Christ and their personal responsibilty to destroy anyone's ideas, beliefs or arguments otherwise.

(I also live in South Alabama, the very heart of the bible-belt, so that could have something to do with it!)

But I've seen many kids sputter and yell, and even walk out of class many times over these things. It's downright offensive and rude...

However, that was mostly limited to the first 2 years of college, thank god.

My first semester I did have a hard time adjusting to all of this. It is true, so true. I encountered many of the points in this article within my first semester last year.
