However, even with this universal property, there has to be the optimum outfit. The outfit that is as flexible as Chuck Taylors themselves. So why not a plain and simple jeans and a t-shirt? Perhaps it's not the most fashionable haute couture, but it works for everyone, and if a blazer or earrings or high waisted belt is a necessary accessory, so be it. But Chuck Taylors need nothing to be a best outfit; an outfit needs Chuck Taylors. It's not remotely fashionable, and the t-shirt has since been relegated to the pile of clothes I wear only to the gym, but it's what I wore hiking in the Baravian Alps summer after my freshman year, and it's comfortable and awesome (and possibly why my old Chucks fell apart and had to be tossed). The bright colors and frills coupled with a pair of converse give it a ying/yang type of feel.
