I'm the girl in that picture. I would really like to know why you used it, and how you got it? Also, after slamming the whole art thing- I'll be graduating with my B.S. in Biology in 2 weeks. I was an art major at R.I.T. my fist semester at college, and I don't think it is an easy major. I actually switched to biology so that I can eventually go into health care after graduate school. I wanted guaranteed job placement whereas majoring in illustration would not have been as secure. So I'm probably not the best poster child to be proving your point.

I know a couple people who tried to do that their freshman and sophmore years then decided on a major that they liked. As for myself, I’m an art major, but that’s not my career choice, not really. I want to work in architecture, but my university doesn’t offer it, and the next school that does costs about 6 times more just for tuition. So yeah, kinda picked the next closest one.

Therefore, some people look upon majoring in art as "impractical", to put it lightly.
