mtvU, MTV Networks' Peabody and Emmy Award-winning 24-hour college network, and the Kaiser Family Foundation, in partnership with POZ Magazine, has launched a new game for change called Pos or Not (www.posornot.com) which confronts the stigma still surrounding HIV/AIDS more than 25 years after the first case of the disease was reported.

In the game, people from across the country – some of whom are living with HIV, some who are not – put their personal lives forward to challenge the stereotypes about who is affected by this disease. Based only on their photographs and personal information, players of the online game are asked if the individual is “Pos or Not.”

By showing that you can’t tell people’s HIV-status by the way they look or by their gender, age and interests, the game confronts stereotypes about who is affected by HIV/AIDS – while providing information about how to prevent the spread of the disease.

VPI is working directly with mtvU to promote Pos or Not and we are requesting your help in spreading the word by promoting this important game on your site. We have copy available for text links and images for banner placement. Please let us know how you might be able to help and what assets you’ll need to proceed.

Thanks girls. I wasn't saying to get wasted. But if you're going out and drinking on Saturday night, why not study your vocab while you're getting ready and pre-partying. Don't study like this every time, but if it gets you to study at times you otherwise wouldn't, why not?

I like the drinking game idea actually. I think if done in moderation (go for beer or wine coolers instead of the harder stuff)it could be a fun way to study. At least studying while drinking is better than just drinking!

I understand why Sues would suggest a drinking game; it's the only way certain people would bother studying at all. Not everyone is motivated through conventional methods.

Good article except for the drinking game idea, that's horrible. Why bother studying if you are just going to get fuzzy/tipsy and not remember anything because your focus is drinking every time a flag/number/word comes up?
