Students who know about haunted colleges, especially in the Northeast, should contact me at Hollow Hill. I’d love to expand my lists of colleges and universities with paranormal phenomena.

(Frankly, I rely on students and staff to tell me about them. Colleges generally don’t publicize their ghosts and other eerie phenomena.)

How could you do haunted schools of New England and leave out Salem State??

I love converse hall… it looks like an old castle, but oddly enough is surrounded by the modern hospital buildings. I’ve been in there many times, and my sister used to live there, but I haven’t heard of anything too odd.

I used to go to Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA, and they claimed to be one of the most haunted schools in PA. Some of the stories included people’s shoes being moved around, a haunted ring that kills anyone who touches it, mirrors inexplicably shattering, faces of girls who died in a fire appearing in mirrors, smoking nuns hanging out near the chapel, apparitions of nuns in the grotto…and a bunch of other stories. Every year around Halloween there would be a “haunted tour,” and it actually was a bit freaky.

my school is haunted in several locations. they do ghost tours around halloween. there’s a movie of some grad students camping out in one of the haunted halls & they sell it in the bookstore. i have yet to see it though.
