Not to mention McCain was completely bullshitting about ’suspending’ his campaign. He’s still actively seeking donations – he took time out of his ‘urgent economic crisis’ to meet with a potential donor this morning, and he gave an interview to Katie Couric yesterday.

Not to mention, he has absolutely no role on ANY of the Senate Committees currently involved in the process and admitted himself that he ‘doesn’t know much about the economy’.

This is a political stunt, plain and simple.

I think it’s just a political ploy. It’s interesting too that if this debate would be postponed, the VP one would as well. I’m thinking Sarah didn’t have enough time to prepare.

I am in no means an Obama supporter, but he has a point– the President has to be able to deal with more than one issue at a time. Calling off his campaign and the debate (which he has been putting off like no ones business for quite sometime), is really just a publicity op, “Oh see poor American people, I can pretend to give a shit too!”

Congress is convening in Washington to vote on the $700 billion bail out that is going to affect every single member of this country…and the deadline and Friday. As Senators, both McCain and Obama should be partaking in this very important vote. So McCain pulled the plug first? Smart strategy.
