Like Chobits, where computers have become human shaped androids called persocoms. The main character finds a special kind of persocom that has more than just the regular computer stuff in her, she also has emotions. The whole 8 volume (i think that's correct) series follows their growing relationship while special government people try to find her and take her away because of her serious powers. He ends up choosing the persocom, even though a human girl was soo in love with him.
