What’s Going On With McCain’s Left Eye?

What’s the deal here? Is he winking at Sarah Palin? Is his left side really tired? Is his 937 year old body slowly going to sleep?

Some people speculate a stroke. Other say Bell’s Palsy (which is a temporary paralysis of the face).

Whatever it is, we are beginning to think John McCain cancelled Friday’s debate because of his drooping left eye and not because of the drooping economy. Iiiiinteresting.

Um the whole Bell's Palsey diagnosis was being discussed on the news sites. We obviously aren't doctors and can't tell you waht is going on.

that is why it was a question.

And the dude is old. That's just a fact.

It's good that there are McCain supporters on here…but we like to joke. It will continue. FOREVER.

you guys fucking suck. you post links to obama's donation sites and make fun of mccain's age. the same joke gets realllllly old after a while. it really just shows your ignorance if that's the only issue you can come up with.

I love you guys and your sense of humor. Bring on the McCain jokes! (and every and all other jokes you might make!)

You guys are getting absolutely ridiculous with this John McCain stuff. I’m a nurse and I can tell you that is NOT what Bell’s Palsy looks like, and it’s not a stroke. Making fun of his age and everything else he does doesn’t get a little old for you?

Um, forgive me if I'm wrong… but isn't this people jumping all over them for making a joke about McCain? What's the difference between that and Obama? Everyone's going to crack jokes about everyone else's flaws. That's how the election season goes. It's funny. Both ways. You probably don't like SNL either, do you?

If you’re going to make fun of John McCain at least do it for his policies not his age. You don’t criticize Obama for his lack of experience, or anything for that matter. Although I guess that shouldn’t really surprise me.

    McCain is old..fact.

Obama is not experienced enough. . opinion.

    See the difference?

J…families shouldn't be examined harshly except for security reasons…care to explain the scrutiny of Sarah Palin's family?

    Obama. Is. Not. MUSLIM.

Read a freaking article, people. Only ignorant still think the dude is Muslim. Remember his crazy pastor controversy?

    Geeze.

McCain is old…but in all reality, age 72, in America, when you have as much money as McCain…is Not. That. Old.

My brother has a drooping left eye, and he's a healthy 26 year old. I get this is a joke..but it's not funny. Try a little harder next time.

It’s just strange that whenever someone criticizes Obama in a comment, people jump all over them and tell them they don’t know what they’re talking about. And when someone defends McCain, we just need to “take it easy.” Give me a break. While this is just a blog, or whatever you want to call it, and you don’t HAVE to be fair, you could at least try not being so far to the left. It turns a good number of people off (even though I’m sure it’s hard to believe that people aren’t supporting Obama)

Okay you know what, I don’t even support McCain or Obama (voting third party) but these jokes are ridiculous.

If you want to say “oh political commentary has been going on and will continue to go on as long as there are politicians,” well fine. But let me offer up a couple of things I heard through the internets to balance things out.

    1) Did you know that Hillary Clinton is into horses? And I mean… Really into them.

(That one is totally made up but uh, I’m not the originator of such an idea lookup >> “Catherine the Great” + horse.

    2) I’m not going to post the link because I think it gives all sorts of people a bad reputation, But I’ll mention it anyway. Go lookup the “Obama’s Mama is Trash” video. It’s very iiiiiiinteresting as well.

    3) I also wonder if Obama is a muslim. I seen it was discussed a lot and I’m obviously not omnipotent to discern, so um… you know, just a question!

    By the way:

    1) I don’t have a gripe against Hillary or Obama

    2) Obama’s family, nor anyone else’s, shouldn’t be examined in such excruciating detail, aside for security reasons.

    3) Obama is probably a christian, and even if he is muslim I don’t see how that should affect much of anything.

Yeah…I'm gonna have to agree with most of the other comments. You writers at College Candy need to stick with style and entertainment rather than making unnecessary political jokes. Trust me, they're REALLY not funny (and no, for the record, I am not a McCain supporter.)

I had bell's palsy for a month in high school, and when I would first wake up it wouldn't be that noticeable but as the day went on and my facial muscles got more tired it would start to all droop and be increasingly difficult to talk. The older you get the longer it takes to go away which could pose a real problem McCain for the debates.. From that picture I wouldn't rule bell's palsy out as a possibility.

  17. Jacks says:

Also if you want to talk droopy eyes or facial features…John Kerry before Botox, much? People's faces droop for all kinds of reasons so this is a little jump-the-gun.

wow people get pissy about such things here. All it is is an article trying to make some breaking news more interesting. Obviously, there is plenty of talk/commenting on this among different sources, and this was just someone at CC informing you all of that while not making it absolutely mundane and boring.

And as it has been said before, John McCain is 72. And yes, even in America, when someone has that much money, that is still getting towards the end of the human lifespan. Unless we start hearing that he's fit as hell and goes out jogging everyday, and consistently eats healthily – I have no doubt it would be possible for him to die in office. Aging is aging, aging people become dying people. Circle.Of.Life.

I'm pretty sure McCain has a droopy left eye due to the harsh beatings he took for our country when he was a Prisoner of War.

He fought and suffered for you. And you're making fun of the droopy eye he has because of it? you're an ASSHOLE.
