Make it Rain! The Bailout Passes The Senate

money.jpgIt’s official, kids. The Senate passed the bailout plan tonight! It took three long hours of debate (which any sorority girl can tell you is nothing compared to rush), but the Senate voted in favor of the newly adapted bailout plan that will cost a wee bit more than the original $700 billion dollars.  All we have to do now is wait for it to slide into the House…and hopefully pass there…

I am no economist so I can’t tell you exactly what is gonna happen next, but it looks like we won’t have to stock up on the canned goods for now!

So get out there and celebrate the fact that the stock market isn’t crashing, your student loans are still available and all that money you have in the bank is safe for another keg.

Oh yeah, it’s just dandy. Can’t wait for my taxes to go up because of other people’s dumbass carelessness with their money. And by the way, with this bailout, the keg you’re so excited about is also probably gonna cost more.

Rachel is right, everyone is so happy about the bailout…IT’S NOT HELPING US!

Don’t give me that crap about “trickling down”. Call me poor, but I have never ever had that work, EVER, in fact I’m still waiting for the last economic revamp’s help to trickle down.

Absolutely classic title, regardless of your opinion.

Except that there are instances of socialism benefiting people of all economic echelons and Reganomics (aka the idea of a trickle-down effect) has consistently been ineffective…

5 Reasons We Salute You, Gwen Stefani

I remember lying in my bedroom and listening to No Doubt’s “Tragic Kingdom” on repeat for days at a time. I remember how excited I was when my dad surprised me with 4 tickets to the show for me and my friends. I remember watching Gwen Stefani rock out on stage in neon pants with suspenders and knowing, at that moment, that I wanted to be just like her.
