What’s a hipster? Someone who follows trends just to seem cool and aware? I call them creative individuals trying to assert their identity. What is a redneck hick? A bigot incapable of showing rationale or intelligence? I say they are folks who are capable of enjoying the simpler things in life.

I don’t know why people love emphasizing negatives. Something I learned long ago is that breaking is easier than fixing. Am I a hipster? I admit it, yeah. Does that define me as a person? Hell no.

What gives you the right to tell people what to do? Everyone has the right to wear whatever they want. Who cares if it looks ridiculous. If it makes them feel good then they should wear it.

the irony is how hipsters go out of their way to look ehhh natural and well hip. and since it is to be no effort, well that's not the case, go to SOHO and prospect heights and see the dollars they put down, to look well 'down to earth' . it's rather hilarious. they would also spend 6 dollars on well organic ice creme….

Welcome to America. The land where no one allows anyone to be comfortable in their own skin for a second, just so that they can have a millisecond of “superiority” over them. That is all that “don’t” lists do. Make it seem like a group of people that fall under these “don’ts” are incompetent and the individuals that don’t are above them. So sad. I may be incorrect, but I interpreted the "dangerous" as "offensive'. As in, "oops– look out; you may be offending somebody by making light of their beliefs!"

If this article offends you then you are a hipster. it doesn't stop with fashion though. Hipsters sit in coffee
shops and scour wikipedia soaking up superficial distillations of what they believe to be obscure philosophies, politics, and religions so they can later regurgitate them in an attempt to be worldly and knowledgeable. Of course all hipsters are doing it, which drives them to more intense levels of competition and eventual frustration since the hipster scene isn't supposed to have competition at all – every one is so supposed to be so effortlessly cool, laid back, and naturally smart. Must be tough living a double life.
