Okay, just because you don't like Palin doesn't mean that she's a moron. To say that you're amazed that she can talk in sentences? To be surprised that she can carry on a debate. It's ridiculous. She's not an idiot. Just because you don't agree with someone's politics doesn't make them stupid. With the way some people type on this website, I don't think you're the best to judge who's intelligent and who isn't.

I am just amazed that Palin was able to talk in sentences. This was the first time I listened to her and my skin didn't crawl from embarrassment. Anyway I'm voting for Obama- and I don't even live in the States anymore. Moved to Canada, unrelated to politics, but I still couldn't stand seeing McCain/Palin in office.

I admit that Sarah beat me. I just wasn't ready for her. I was expecting the dumb air head that was interviewed by Katie Couric but NO, I get the barracuda hockey mom eating down my throat and out my tail hole. I did the best I could, but she got to me. I am a tough scrappy kid from Scranton and she got to me. How did you like my joker hair doo? Spiffy huh? See! I can relate to you kids. And what did you think about when I did my emotional thing and it looked like I was about to cry. That was great! I deserve an emmy or grammy of some award for that! Look just vote for me and that other dude. We'll tell you what ever you want to hear as long as you will vote for us. And...free beer for everyone!!!!!

Everyone is just saying Palin won it because she exceeded everyone's expectations by not mentioning pit bulls, lipstick or making little shooting guns with her fingers.

Biden won the debate hands down.

Sarah Palin is in no way capable of being a heartbeat away from the presidency, she isn't even be capable of running a PTA meeting.

I think that by official debating rules Biden certainly wrong as he was able to answer every question and corrected Palin on her many "misunderstandings" of the facts and voting records. Moreover, as someone who follows politics, I am interested in hearing specific real answers rather than repetitive buzzwords.

Nevertheless, Palin did not do as poorly as I would have hoped. She spoke fairly clearly (except when she would lose her train of thought and then revert to talking about her Alaskan energy state and being mavericks) and certainly said a lot of WORDS that the general public will like. Which has always been the Republican strategy, and seeing as Bush won twice, it seems to work. Especially given her inexperience and track record in interviews, she was able to form sentences much more coherently and only said "umm" a few times.

My problem is that you can't give shout-outs and steer the conversation to the only 3 topics you know about when you are talking to world leaders, especially those with whom we do not have ideal relationships. You need to be able to adapt, persuade and be knowledgeable about many more topics (culture included) than this women has never been exposed to. And that is not something you can learn in a 3-day crash course. You may say that as VP, this won't be an issue, but it is a very real possibility that McCain could die in office. He is 72, has a history of skin cancer, somewhat high blood pressure and his father died at 70, grandfather at 61. These are not good indicators of a long life. Plus, be a maverick all you want, but working with Congress and the Senate (especially one with a Dem majority) is going to be a lot different than dealing with a nepotism filled Alaskan legislature. You can't just say "I'm not going to answer your questions" and expect to get things done.

Also..we all know that pretty much everyone on this site hates Sarah Palin.
