Last night (Friday, October 3rd) O.J Simpson was found guilty of armed robbery and kidnapping, charges stemming from a hotel confrontation last year in Las Vegas.  Simpson faces 15 years to life, and as soon as the trial was over, the judge ordered that Simpson be escorted to jail.

From the New York Times: “The charges arose after Mr. Simpson led five cohorts on a raid of a guest room at the Palace Station Hotel-Casino and departed with hundreds of memorabilia items related to the sports careers of Mr. Simpson and three other athletes.”

The weird part of this verdict is that in either strange coincidence, or some kind of karmic twist of fate, O.J’s guilty charges came 13 years to the day he was acquitted for the murder of his ex-wife and boyfriend.

The judge was very obviously trying to make a point out of this case, as the authorities have been trying to do from the very beginning.
