as a healthy chica with meat on her bones I totally love this movement. People look at me an automatically assume that I sit on my couch all day and do naught but eat. I'm healthy, I jog, swim, bike, dance, and ride horses. But I still struggle with my weight. It's nice to see that there are people out there who are willing to accept that while I'm heavy, I'm beautiful. and I totally can deal with that.

LeeBee I do understand the idea of of this movement and I am for it, it is innovating, and I did not once state that overweight people are any less attractive. What I am trying to get across is the advocating of eating meals such as Bigmacs, Dairyqueen, and Cheese fries if not controlled with moderation will not do an individual good. I think we all know that by eating these very unhealthy foods will only result in the deterioration of our health.

En fin, it depends entirely on the individual, your choice, it just dosent seem correct in any way to advocate an unhealthy lifestyle.

PS. obviously not everyone is a size zero (myself included), Im just saying that a fat lifestyle (sedentary, fatty foods constantly..etc) is NOT healthy. Genetics do play a big part, but it is up to us to do what we can to counteract them. Seriously, diabetes, hyper(hypo)glyceia, cardiac arrest, pulmonary embolisms, DVTs...etc, can greatly be prevented with the proper nutrition and lifestyle choices.

Being fat is NEVER healthy. Enjoying a fatty treat from time to time is, however, necessary.

Are we being satirical in that we want women to embrace their bodies no matter what size tehy are? No.

Are we being satirical that everyone should go out and eat all these (AWESOME) unhealthy foods to gain weight? Yes.

We are not CNN, people. This is collegecandy and this article was meant to enlighten you to a new movement and make you laugh (and drool).

Trisha Estra- I think you're really not understanding what the Body Acceptance Movement is all about. It's simply empowering people to eat healthily but understand that it is completely healthy to have body fat (as opposed to society which regularly tells people, especially women, that fat is BAD BAD BAD). Why should people who are overweight be told that they are any less beautiful or any less of a person than those who are thin? They shouldn't.

Is this article suppose to be satyrical? or are they being serious?

It seems to me this individual is being blinded, this is not something that should be advocated in such a way. I am not against self confidence and what not, but realisticly speaking, being overweight should not be considered a "movement" its the same as advocating a Bulimia and Anorexia "Movement" which would be utterly preposterous! as is this ideology of a fat movement.
