Bigotry is Alive and Well at Palin/McCain Rally
After watching this video, we will try not hold McCain accountable for his superbly ignorant supporters, but it gets harder every day.
Apparently, bigotry knows no bounds when it comes to bad humor; some dude decided to bring a stuffed monkey with a Obama headband -- “Little Hussain” -- to a Palin/McCain rally. He's just as happy as could be to introduce the world to his disgusting piece of propaganda, and belts out a laugh that sorta reminds me of the devil.
Maybe I'm confused, I thought it was 2008, not 1968. This guy is an old adult, he should be setting a example, for Christ’s sake! Instead he's spreading pure hatred with a smile (and then awkwardly taking the toy apart like the coward he surely is).
Simply stupid.

I have to say then Chicka, what is your thoughts on the Sarah Palin is a CUNT t-shirts? Or the other countless things that have shown up on Democrat websites?

there are 300 million americans. bigotry is alive and well throughout the country, is this guy a fuckwit? yes. is mccain the only one with fuckwit supporters? no. the rapper t.i. is a big obama supporter and he's going to prison for buying MACHINE GUNS. serious fuckwit.
p.s. hussein, not hussain. nice job!

They don't care about those things because they think the same about Palin. While what this guy did was not right by any stretch of the imagination..it is not John McCain's fault. There are people on both sides of the political spectrum who are hateful and bigoted, so please try and report on something BESIDES how horrible John McCain and Sarah Palin are. Every time someone comments on this website and criticizes Obama in the slightest, they're mocked and their loyalty to women is questioned…it's getting ridiculous.
I absolutely cannot wait for this election to be over with.

"There are people on both sides of the political spectrum who are hateful and bigoted"
This is the Fallacy of Middle Ground in full swing.
The history of the United States is saturated with racially-motivated assassinations, murders, discrimination, etc. Ever notice how people who get assassinated in the U.S. tend to be liberal and progressive? And Reagan doesn't count, b/c his would-be assassin was doing it for truly insane, non-political reasons.
Anyway, people like the ones shown in this video have been historically proven to be dangerous and harmful. That some Obama supporters call McCain an old geezer or Palin a VPILF doesn't make things all equal.
Bottom line? McCain's supporters are worse than Obama's supporters. Period.

That is such a generalization. You can't just lump people into one of two categories like that.
Convenient that the assassination attempt against Reagan "doesn't count" in your book.
I don't care who people vote for, but saying that people who support McCain are dangerous and harmful…it's ridiculous. I'm voting for McCain and I'm truly insulted that I am being put in the same category as the man in this video because that is NOWHERE near any of my views.

These things make me afraid for our country but at the same time it makes me not even care about the election any more. I'm tired of all the drama.. Here's another video of angry ignorant old people:

Joanna says "Bottom line? McCain’s supporters are worse than Obama’s supporters. Period."
Oh, shut it. Each candidate has millions of supporters, and there are thousands of idiots among each group. You can't judge millions of people by the actions of a couple idiots.
Case in point: When you go abroad, how do you feel about people stereotyping "idiot, fat, ugly, Americans?" I would imagine you get angry because you can not be held accountable for the actions of millions of other people who can be grouped into a category with you on the basis that you were born under the same flag.

I don't think it's an unfair statement that McCain's supporters are worse. Either Obama's supporters are extra low-key, or they really aren't as bad…not to say that Obama is a better candidate for that reason, because that has nothing to do with him as a candidate. But McCain supporters are definitely [atleast] from the stuff I've seen lately, include some of the most ignorant people I've seen in a while.
& even though that wasn't directed towards me-I go abroad a lot and people don't tend to stereotype me…I don't walk around with a picture of Bush on my shirt or my passport in hand..so when people ask me where I'm from they're actually pleasantly surprised when I say America. And the stereotype these days is more like "violent, angry, & warmongering" .

Well, I'm not going to say that one side is any worse than the other, since I dont presume to know whats going on in every town in America.
HOWEVER, I DO know that where I live (in Coastal Alabama; and also in Florida, Mississippi, Georgia, etc. – i.e. the crazy "Deep South") McCain/Palin supporters ARE extremely hateful and dangerous.
I recieve probably 5 emails a week from some friends and family claiming that Obama is a terrorist and has a "hidden Muslim agenda," and believe it or not, they are teaching in churches that he is the Antichrist!!
The freaking …..ANTICHRIST!?
No lie, really I cant make shit like this up!
But they are angry, they get pissed off and start making all these vague statements about Obama being "pushed to the top" by hidden Muslim terrorist supporters. Its absolutely sickening. Of course not all of them say these things, but I've also heard at work (in a more country & lower-income area than where I live) that they "wouldn't vote for some black guy" or that Obama's a "typical black guy…" It just really infuriates me. Of course, I understand that I live in one of the most conservative areas of the country, but still.
So yeah, I'm sure Obama has some radical supporters as well, along with (yeah I'm gonna say it) many underprivileged people who dont know the first thing about politics, (as in the black housing communities in our area) but from where I'm standing its the Conservative Evangelicals who are acting seriously dangerous around here.

I'm from New York and I'm going to school in Georgia at the moment and I am scared of this place…like wow. I've never even dreamt of meeting such close-minded people in my life.

tell me about it… some people are really sweet, hospitable and will go out of their way to help others…
But there's also a LOT of people who are are so protective of their way of life that they get so hateful towards anyone different.
Man I cant wait to move again after next spring!

I'm so ashamed to admit that this video is from my hometown. Most people there are not like this at all, and I was appalled when I saw this coming from a city that usually votes democrat! The bottom line is though, both candidates have supporters who go to extremes that do no represent their views. I'm not a McCain supporter, but you can't hold him responsible for the actions of those who support him. In fact, a couple video's have surfaced recently where McCain is seen defending Obama against allegations that he is a terrorist. Maybe it's just a political ploy to make him seem like the good guy, but either way, he was correcting his own supporters on their claims of Obama.

casey, great video, i love betty white.
but as far as the racism, its gotten very far… some people at mccain rallies have been yelling "kill him" and those are the kind of people that need to be removed by security, yet nothing is really done to stop it. and even though there arent great people on obama's side either sometimes, death threats haven't come into the picture. and as far as mccain defending obama as a terrorist… well anyone who has seen his latest ads or has seen the last and final debate knows that he is not downplaying any ridiculous associations.

Heather,
That is no true. Secret service did a full report after interviewing countless number of people and secret service agents who were working at the event. They did not find anyone who heard or reported anyone yelling kill him. Obama said that at the debate but it is a lie but of course the liberal media does not report it.
