I am the BIGGEST supporter of a flat tax. It wouldn't ruin everything. It would make things WAY more equal. My dad worked his ass off paying his way through college. He didn't take a cent from anyone that he didn't truly earn after he turned 17. And now he has a great job and makes a lot of money, only to have most of that money taxed and taken away from him. He didn't accept government handouts when he was poor, why should he have to give them out now?

Then how come I make a little under 20,000 a year and every paycheck the government takes roughly 22 percent? Seems to me it's already working that way.

Casey- Everyone paying the exact same amount in taxes would destroy the working class which makes up the backbone of American labor. While the fair tax is a nice idea for people are already make a decent amount of money, taxing at 23% for those American's in poverty would be a disaster. Regardless of one's constitutional view of taxes, sending a huge percentage of the population into poverty and possible homelessness is not going to make anyone's life, Rich or poor, better.

I agree, Casey. If anyone is trying to place the race card it's Obama himself. Because apparently the color of his skin means he's somehow more "progressive" than Fuddy-Duddy McCain. Everyone out here [in California] is just drinking his Kool-Aid like it's going out of style and anyone who's really done their homework (i.e. didn't just happen to catch a short clip on CNN or any other equally let-wing biased media outlet of one of his speeches or saw Lindsay Lohan wearing an Obama t-shirt)will realize that in picking the lesser of two evils, McCain's that. My two cents.

So i was in high school when HSM started and just for future reference, it's not for high schoolers…it's for like pre-teens.

It's disney, nothing they do is aimed for anyone over 12…just btw

Everyone should be taxed equally, not based on income. People earn there money and have a right to keep it. No one should have to pay more because someone else makes less. How does that make any sense? Everyone has some vendetta against the wealthy, well turn the tables, IF you were wealthy, would you want to pay more? I don't think so, so why would you make them?

i think people need to get straight that obamas tax plan will NOT affect your taxes if you make less than 250,000 dollars. and as far as i know, us college kids are not quarter-of-a-millionaires at the moment. mccain also wants to tax health benefits. so how is obama raising taxes again? as it stands now, the wealthy have more tax write-offs, and they pay less of a "burden" of taxes than the middle class.

Aliyah, not sure why you're bringing race into this, no one said anything about Obama being black, and honestly, I could care less what color his skin was. And how do you know none of the posters that agreed are black? And the democrats have been in control of the senate for the past couple years and they haven't done anything to help us either. But I agree with Jacks, if you want to be a socialist under Obama, you should just move to France and let the rest of us keep our America the way it was meant to be.

here my vent: OMG! I dont mean to sound racist but White people are sticking to their own on this election thing. Okay so Obama isn't going to do 100% everything you would want him to do as a president but do you think voting John McCain would solve the problem? The world is already fucked as it so another Republican in office? We might as give it up!! Another 4 years of Bush-esque style of politics and Sarah Palin?! She is the dumbest HOE ever!!! I dont know why white people will ignore the PROBLEM the Republican party has done over the years just because they dont want a black president. Its crazy. I just had to vent that…
