I kept up with the little transaction register pretty well, but it's annoying to do. Luckily I still do feel like I am spending money out of my account and have paid off the bill every month. But it is still very easy to just swipe the card and get sucked into buying stuff online. It's so convenient, and you don't actually see the money being "spent" until you go and check your balance. It doesn't have the same effect as physically handing over cash, so you don't really think about the consequences. Yeah, I definitely prefer using a debit card.
