HaHa, this happened to me on halloween night aswell with my new n95. I dived in, ripped out the battery, snapped off all the covers and went for the hand dryer. After about 10min I carried on with my drinking. The next day, with a serious hang over, I popped it in a sock above the radiator and left it there for a few hours. Later that day, IT WAS ALIVE!!!

my brother put his ipod and his phone through the wash multiple times and somehow they always come out working, it makes me want to put my ipod in the wash just out of curiosity :p

Basically the same scenario happened to me except it was my iphone :/ yeah…fuck my life. so i used a hairdryer, which after later research i found was not smart. but w/e i was able to turn it on today but the screen has all this water in it, so i'm trying the rice thing…praying to the apple gods that it works…

Rice has saved mine and my friends' phones more times than I can count. Now if my friends could stop misplacing their phones on top of their cars and driving off, we'd all be set. Seriously, 7 of them have forgotten their phones on top of their cars in the past WEEK!

Never dropped the phone, but I did drop a loose ring into the toilet at school once. Luckily it was before I had used it…

Ladies, the best way to avoid dropping your phone in the toilet is to stash it in your bra. I wouldn't ever keep valuables in my back pocket!

It happerned to me once, it was when the Nokia 6300 came out, the first GPRS enabled phone. Luckly I took it back to the O2 store and I was given a brand-new phone, that had better firmware than my previous.

I didn't believe the rice thing until my roommate dropped hers in a puddle on a rainy day.

one huge bowl of rice and one day later she put it back together and voila…still working.

now if only i'm that lucky next time i break my phone.

I actually flushed one once.

I took it out of my pocket and put it on the tampon disposal box so it WOULDN'T fall out of my pocket. Then, after I had pulled my jeans back up and flushed, I picked it up. That's when it all went wrong.

I somehow dropped the phone, which bounced off the toilet seat and then fell into the already flushing toilet and was gone. I heard a PLUNK as it hit the u-bend and got stuck.

Not knowing what else I could do, I braced myself and went for it. I got my phone back, but it wouldn't turn back on. I took it apart completely and let it dry for a full 24 hours, then tried again. Nope. My math teacher told me that it probably had just zapped the battery when it hit the water and I should plug it in. That worked… but only while the phone was actually plugged in. So I ended up with a new phone, but mine lasted long enough to get all my numbers out of it.

YUCK!
